Meet Minas Gerais!

Minas Gerais is a super big place in Brazil, like a giant puzzle piece! It's the fourth biggest in size and has tons of people, more than 20 million! That's like everyone in your whole country living there. Its capital city, Belo Horizonte, is a busy place, and the whole state has more towns than any other in Brazil. Wow! It's a place full of amazing things to discover.

Mountains, Rivers, and Green Jungles!

This place has bumpy, hilly land with some of Brazil's tallest mountains. It's also where some of the biggest rivers start their journey, like a giant water faucet for the country! The weather is warm and sunny, but it can be a bit cooler in the south. You can find amazing plants and animals here, living in special places called biomes, like the grassy Cerrado and the special Atlantic Forest.

Gold Rush and Yummy Food!

A long, long time ago, people found lots of gold in Minas Gerais. This made it super rich and famous! But the gold ran out, so people moved away. Later, they started growing coffee, which made the place important again. Today, they still dig for minerals, and their food is famous too, with yummy cheeses and breads that everyone loves to eat.

Old Cities and Cool Caves!

Minas Gerais has beautiful old towns with buildings that look like they're from a storybook. Places like Ouro Preto are like stepping back in time! There are also amazing natural wonders, like huge caves and splashing waterfalls. Some towns are famous for their special bubbly water. It's a place that's great for exploring and seeing beautiful sights.
