Meghnad Saha was born a long, long time ago, in 1893. He grew up in a place called Bengal, which is part of India. Even when he was a kid, he was super smart and loved learning new things. He went to school and studied hard, especially math and science. He became so good that he started to ask big questions about the universe that no one had answered before.

Meghnad Saha invented something called the Saha ionization equation. This sounds like a big, complicated thing, but it’s actually super cool! It helped scientists understand that stars have different colors because they are different temperatures.

Red stars are cooler, like a warm campfire, while blue stars are super-duper hot, hotter than anything you can imagine! His idea was like a secret code to read the stars.
