Meet the Giant River!

Imagine a river so wide, it's like a giant blue highway! The Meghna River is one of the biggest rivers in Bangladesh, a country in Asia. It's so important because it's one of the three rivers that help make the Ganges Delta.

This delta is the largest on the whole planet, like a giant fan made of land spreading out into the ocean. The Meghna is born when two other rivers, the Surma and the Kushiyara, hug each other and become one big river. It's a super long journey for this water!

Where Does the Water Go?

The Meghna River doesn't just stop! It flows and flows until it meets another giant river called the Padma. Together, they continue their journey.

Along the way, other smaller rivers, like the Dhaleshwari, Gumti, and Feni, join the Meghna, adding their water. Finally, after traveling a long, long way, the Meghna River empties into a huge body of water called the Bay of Bengal. It splits into four main paths, like four smaller rivers, to reach the sea!

A River Full of Life!

Rivers are like super-highways for boats and for animals! People who live near the Meghna River depend on it for many things. They use the water for farming their crops and for fishing. The river is also a busy road for boats carrying people and goods from one place to another. It's like the main street of the country, but made of water! This river helps people live and travel.

Why the Meghna is Amazing!

The Meghna River is special because it helps create the biggest delta in the world. A delta is a place where a river meets the sea and drops off lots of mud and sand, building up new land. This new land is super good for growing food, like rice. So, the Meghna River doesn't just carry water; it helps create new land that feeds many people. It's like a natural builder!
