Marie Antoinette

Marie Antoinette wasn't born in France! She was born in Austria, a country far away. Her mom was an empress and her dad was an emperor! When she was just 14 years old, she got married to the prince of France. It was like a big royal wedding! She moved to France to be a princess and later became queen when her husband became king.

As queen, Marie Antoinette loved beautiful clothes and fun parties. She lived in a huge palace called Versailles, which had amazing gardens. Sometimes, people thought she spent too much money on her fancy dresses and hairstyles. This made some people in France unhappy, especially when the country didn't have enough money for everyone.

Things got very serious in France. People were upset about how the country was run. They started a big change called the French Revolution. Marie Antoinette and her family were blamed for many problems. They even tried to run away, but they were caught. It was a very scary time for them.

Sadly, the French Revolution led to a very sad ending for Marie Antoinette. She was put on trial and then, like her husband the king, she was executed by a machine called a guillotine. She was the last queen of France before the country changed forever. Her story is a reminder of how important it is for leaders to listen to their people.
