Manav the Amazing Robot!

Imagine a robot that looks and moves a bit like you! That's Manav! Manav is a special kind of robot called a humanoid robot.

This means it's built to look like a person, with a head, arms, and legs. It was made in a lab by clever scientists who wanted to see if they could build a robot that could do things humans do, like walk and maybe even talk someday. Manav wasn't always here! It was created in a place called A-SET Training and Research Institutes. A very smart person named Diwakar Vaish led the team that built Manav. They finished making it in December 2014. Then, they showed it off for the first time at a big event called IIT-Bombay Techfest. It was like showing off a brand new invention to everyone, and people were super excited to see it!
