Khadija bint Khuwaylid

Imagine a super-smart lady who was really good at business a long, long time ago! That was Khadija. She was born in a very important family in Mecca, a city in Saudi Arabia.

Khadija wasn't just rich, she was a successful merchant, which means she was a super businesswoman who managed her own trade caravans. These were like big convoys of camels carrying goods to faraway places! She was known for being kind and respected by everyone.

Khadija was so good at her job that she hired a young man named Muhammad to help her. He was very honest and skilled at managing her trade trips. Khadija was so impressed with how well he did his work that she decided she wanted to marry him!

Muhammad was happy to accept her proposal. They became husband and wife and had six children together, two sons and four daughters. Khadija was a loving wife and mother.

One day, Muhammad had a very special experience and learned important messages. Khadija was the very first person to believe in these messages and become a follower! She was incredibly supportive of Muhammad and helped him through everything. She was like his biggest fan and best friend. Because she was the first to believe, she is remembered as a very important person in history.

Khadija was a wonderful wife and a pillar of strength for Muhammad. Sadly, she passed away in the year 619. Muhammad was so sad that he called that year the 'Year of Sorrow'. Even though she is no longer with us, Muslims remember Khadija with great love and respect. She is honored as one of the 'Mothers of the Believers' and is considered one of the most special women in heaven.
