Kamay Botany Bay National Park

Kamay Botany Bay National Park is like a big, beautiful backyard for Sydney, Australia! It's not too far from the city, just a little way southeast. The park is split into two parts, like two giant arms reaching out into the water of Botany Bay.

One part is near La Perouse, and the other is at Kurnell. It's a place where you can see the ocean, learn about plants, and imagine what it was like a long, long time ago.

A super famous explorer named Captain James Cook sailed all the way to Australia in 1770. He and his friends, Joseph Banks and Daniel Solander, landed right here!
