Imagine a huge country called India, way over in Asia! It's a place with tall mountains, sunny beaches, and busy cities. Most of the super fun movies we're talking about are made in a big city called Mumbai. Mumbai is like the Hollywood of India, where all the magic happens on movie sets!

Movies in India started a long, long time ago, even before your grandparents were born! The very first Indian movie was made in 1913. That's over 100 years ago! Back then, movies didn't have sound, so actors had to act out all the words. Later, they added music and talking, making them even more exciting!

Indian movies are famous for their amazing songs and dances. You'll see people bursting into song and dance at parties, in the streets, or even when they're feeling happy or sad! India has lots of movie stars who are like superheroes to their fans, with millions of people watching their films.

Did you know that India makes more movies than almost any other country in the world? That's a LOT of movies! They make films in many different languages so everyone in India can enjoy them. It's like having a giant movie party for everyone to join!
