Hildegard (queen)

Imagine a queen named Hildegard who lived way, way back, around the time when knights and castles were real! She was born a very long time ago, between 757 and 758. Hildegard was married to a very powerful king named Charlemagne.

They were married for eleven whole years, which is longer than you've been alive! During that time, she was a queen and helped Charlemagne make important decisions for their kingdom.

Being from these groups meant she was used to important things and knew how to act like royalty. She was a noblewoman, which is like being born into a very respected family.
