Pepin of Italy

Pepin was the King of Italy! Italy is a country shaped like a boot that kicks a ball (which is an island called Sicily). His kingdom was a big and important place in Europe a super long time ago, back when knights and castles were real. It was a land with sunny coasts and tall mountains, perfect for exploring!

Pepin wasn't always called Pepin. His first name was Carloman! But when he was baptized (which is like a special ceremony when you're a baby), he got a new name: Pepin! He was also crowned king of Italy. This happened when he was just a little boy, so his dad, a very famous king named Charlemagne, helped him rule.
