Head of State: The Big Boss of a Country!

A Head of State is like the main character in a country's story. They are the face of their country to everyone else in the world. Sometimes they are like the captain of a ship, steering it, and sometimes they are more like the person who waves hello at parties. It all depends on how the country is run, like a game with different rules!

Long, long ago, kings and queens were always the Heads of State. They had all the power! But over time, people decided it was fairer to share the jobs. So, some countries invented new ways to pick their leaders. Now, in many places, the Head of State might be a president or even a king or queen, but their job can be very different from those ancient rulers.

The Head of State is super important because they represent their whole country. Think of them like the team captain who talks to the referee. They make sure other countries know who is in charge and can talk to them. They also help make sure everything runs smoothly inside the country, like making sure everyone follows the rules of the playground.

In some countries, the Head of State does everything, like being the boss of the whole team and also the one who scores the goals!
