She became a super-smart scientist and a Rear Admiral in the Navy. She was like a detective for computers, figuring out how to make them faster and easier to use. She helped create the very first computer languages, which are like special instructions that tell computers what to do.

Grace Hopper worked with some of the very first computers, which were HUGE! They were as big as a whole room, much bigger than your bedroom! She helped invent something called a 'compiler.' Think of it like a translator that turns simple words into a language the computer understands.

This was a HUGE deal because it made programming computers much, much easier. Before this, telling a computer what to do was super complicated, like trying to talk to someone without knowing their language!

She carefully taped the moth into her logbook and wrote 'First actual case of bug being found.' This is how we got the word 'debugging' for fixing computer problems!
