George Blake

George Blake was a spy, like in the movies! But instead of fighting bad guys, he worked for Britain, a country far away. He was supposed to help Britain, but then he started helping another country called the Soviet Union. It was like he was playing for two teams at once! He was caught during a big war called the Korean War and ended up in prison.

After being in prison, George Blake managed to escape! It was a daring plan, like something out of a comic book. He escaped from a big prison in London and ran away to the Soviet Union. There, people thought he was a hero because he had shared secrets with them. He lived there for a very, very long time, until he was 98 years old!

George Blake's job was to keep secrets safe for Britain. But he secretly told those secrets to the Soviet Union. This was very bad because it put many other spies in danger. Imagine if your friend told everyone your secret clubhouse location! That's kind of what happened, but with much more important information.

Well, not exactly a disguise with a fake nose and glasses! But he was very good at pretending to be loyal to Britain while secretly working for the Soviet Union. He was like a secret agent within a secret agent! He was so good at hiding his true actions that it took a long time for anyone to find out.
