GOES-13 Gets a 'Full-Disk' Look at Weather in the Americas

Key Facts
Brazil: A Super Big Neighbor!
Imagine a country so big it takes up almost half of a whole continent called South America! That's Brazil! It's like a giant puzzle piece fitting perfectly next to the big blue Atlantic Ocean. It's so wide that it touches lots of other countries, like Argentina and Peru. Brazil is also super watery, with lots of rivers and even a little bit of ocean water included in its size.
What's it Like to Stand Up Tall?
Brazil has some really high places! The tallest spot is a mountain called Pico da Neblina. It's almost 3,000 meters (that's like 9,823 feet!) high. To give you an idea, that's taller than 10 Eiffel Towers stacked on top of each other! Most of Brazil is nice and warm because it's close to the middle of the Earth, but the very south part can get a little cooler, like a mild autumn day.
The Mighty Amazon River!
Get ready for a WOW fact! Brazil is home to the Amazon River, which is the second longest river in the whole world. It's so big and powerful that it carries more water than any other river on Earth! This amazing river flows through a huge, green rainforest that's full of incredible plants and animals. It's like a superhighway for nature!
Brazil's Big Backyard
Brazil is a land of amazing contrasts. You have the giant, flowing Amazon River and the lush rainforest, and then you have other parts of the country that are different. It's a place with so much to explore, from its sunny beaches along the Atlantic coast to its high mountain peaks. Brazil is a country that's full of natural wonders waiting to be discovered.
