Where is France?

France is a country in Europe, like a big puzzle piece on the map! During the early modern times, it was growing, getting bigger and bigger until it looked a lot like the France we know today. It even started collecting lands far, far away across the ocean, like building a giant playground with many different areas!

Kings and Queens Rule!

For a super long time, France was ruled by kings. One king, Louis XIV, was so powerful he was called the 'Sun King' because he thought he was the center of everything, just like the sun! He made sure everyone followed his rules, like a strict but fair teacher making sure everyone in class does their work.

Growing and Changing

This was a time when France was changing a lot. It was like watching a plant grow taller and taller! The kings worked hard to make France strong and united, like putting together a big LEGO castle. They wanted everyone to feel like they were part of one big French family.

What Did They Do?

People in France did all sorts of jobs! Some farmed the land, others were artists, and some even sailed ships to faraway places. It was a busy time with lots of building and creating. They were laying the groundwork for the France we see today, like building the foundation for a tall skyscraper.
