Farmall Tractors: The Red Machines That Changed Farms!

Farmall tractors were special red machines that helped farmers a LOT! They were made by a company called International Harvester. Think of them as the superheroes of the farm, helping to plow fields and do other tough jobs.

They were so good that they helped farms change from needing lots of horses to using these powerful machines. Many of these tractors were built to be just right for growing crops in rows, like corn or beans.

Farmall tractors started being made a long, long time ago, back in the 1920s. Before Farmall, farms often needed many strong horses to do all the work. But Farmall tractors were designed to be like a whole team of horses all by themselves!

They were built to be affordable for families with smaller farms, too. This meant even more farmers could get one and make their work easier and faster. They were made for many years, until the 1980s.

What made Farmall so special? It had a cool 'tricycle' shape with one or two wheels in the front and bigger wheels in the back. This helped it steer easily between rows of crops.

It also had big wheels that could be moved closer or farther apart, like magic! This meant it could fit perfectly in different fields. Plus, it was built to be strong enough to pull big plows but light enough to be nimble.

Even though new Farmalls haven't been made for a while, many are still working on farms or have been fixed up by people who love them. Their bright red color made them easy to spot! Today, some farmers are even using them again for special kinds of farming that are good for the earth.
