The Fantastic Four!

Then there's the Invisible Woman, who can disappear and make invisible shields. Her brother, the Human Torch, can burst into flames and fly like a rocket! And finally, the Thing, a big, rocky guy with super strength, who's as tough as a playground slide.

They got their powers on a space adventure!

The Fantastic Four first showed up in comic books way back in 1961. That's older than your parents! Two amazing creators, Jack Kirby and Stan Lee, dreamed them up.

They wanted superheroes who felt more real, like people you might know. Instead of hiding their faces, the Fantastic Four were famous! They even argued and had silly fights, just like families do.

This made them super popular and helped start a new way of making comics.

How did they get these awesome powers? They went on a special science mission to outer space! While they were out there, they got zapped by something called cosmic rays.

Zap! Pow! Suddenly, Reed Richards could stretch, Sue Storm could turn invisible and make force fields, Johnny Storm could become a human fireball, and Ben Grimm turned into a rock-like creature.

It's like getting superpowers from a giant space lightning bolt!

This super-team doesn't just hang out; they fight some of the biggest baddies in the universe! They've faced Doctor Doom, a mean king with a metal mask, and Galactus, a giant who eats planets! They also meet the Silver Surfer, who rides a cosmic surfboard.

Even though they sometimes bicker, the Fantastic Four always stick together to protect Earth and everyone on it. They show us that teamwork and family are super important.
