Europa Point

Imagine standing at the very tippy-top of Gibraltar, where the land suddenly stops! That's Europa Point! It's the most southern spot in Gibraltar, like the last stop on a train track. From here, you can see the big blue sea stretching out. It's a special place where two giant bodies of water, the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, say hello to each other!

Europa Point isn't just rocks and sea. It has a flat, grassy field where people can play games, kind of like a super-sized playground! There are also a few buildings nearby. On a super clear day, you can look across the water and see the mountains of Africa! It's like looking at another country from your backyard, but way, way bigger!

This amazing spot is where the busy Strait of Gibraltar meets the Alboran Sea. Think of it like a giant doorway between two huge swimming pools. The Atlantic Ocean is one pool, and the Mediterranean Sea is the other. Europa Point is right at the edge of that doorway, watching all the ships and waves go by.

When the sky is super clear, you can see all the way to Africa! You might even spot the tall Rif Mountains in Morocco. It's like looking across a giant, sparkling blue lake and seeing another land on the other side. It makes you realize how close different parts of the world can be!
