The Awesome Area of Dickson!

Imagine a special neighborhood in a country called Australia, way over on the other side of the world! This neighborhood is called the Division of Dickson. It's like a big team where everyone gets to help choose who will be their voice, kind of like picking the captain of your soccer team.

This person is called a Member of Parliament, or MP for short. They go to a big meeting place to talk about important stuff for everyone in Dickson!

Lots of people call Dickson home! It's a place with many towns and even two big lakes, Lake Samsonvale and Lake Kurwongbah. Think of it as a giant playground that's about as big as 175 football fields put together! It's home to many families who live in places like Petrie, Strathpine, and Albany Creek. They all live in this special area and get to have a say in who represents them.

Once every few years, the grown-ups in Dickson get to do something really cool: they vote! It's like choosing who gets to be the class president. Recently, a lady named Ali France won the vote and is now the special person for Dickson!
