Diego Abad de Santillán

Imagine a person who loved reading and thinking about how everyone could be treated fairly. That was Diego Abad de Santillán! He was born a long, long time ago in a country called Spain.

Diego was like a real-life explorer, but instead of finding new lands, he explored big ideas! He traveled back and forth between Spain and Argentina. In Argentina, he helped start a group called the International Workers' Association.

This group was all about making sure workers were treated well. Later, he went back to Spain and became super involved in another important group there. He even became a minister, which is like being a leader in the government, helping to make big decisions!
