Christopher Wren was a super-smart builder from a long, long time ago. He was born in 1632 in England. He wasn't just a builder, though! He was also great at math and looking at the stars. He loved to figure out how things worked. He helped design many beautiful buildings that are still standing today. He was like a superhero for rebuilding London after a big fire!
London's Big Makeover!
In 1666, a giant fire burned down a lot of London. It was a sad time, but Christopher Wren saw a chance to build new and amazing things. He was asked to design 52 churches! His most famous building is St. Paul's Cathedral. It's so big and beautiful, like a giant crown on top of the city. He also designed other cool places like the Royal Hospital Chelsea, which looks like a castle.
