Christian Democratic Union of Germany

This team, called the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (or CDU for short!), is all about Germany. Germany is a country in Europe, like a big puzzle piece next to France and Poland. It has tall mountains, green forests, and even some sandy beaches along the sea. The CDU works to help all these different places and people in Germany get along and be happy.

The CDU started a long, long time ago, right after a big war ended in 1945. Think of it like starting a new game after everyone was tired. Some really famous people have been part of the CDU! One was Angela Merkel, who was like the captain of the German team for a very long time, even longer than you've been in school! Another was Helmut Kohl. These leaders helped Germany become a strong and respected country. Now, Friedrich Merz is leading the team!
