Baldassare Peruzzi was born a long, long time ago, in 1481, in a small town near a famous Italian city called Siena. Imagine a cozy village nestled in the beautiful Italian countryside! He spent his life in Italy, a country known for its delicious pizza and ancient history. He loved his homeland so much that he even helped build new defenses for Siena to keep it safe.
Baldassare's Awesome Building Projects!
Baldassare was a master builder, like a super-architect! He worked on one of the most famous buildings in the world, St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. It's so big, it’s like building a whole town! He also designed a giant dam, which is like a huge wall to hold back water, for a river. He was also a painter, creating beautiful pictures on church walls called frescoes.

Baldassare's talents ran in the family! His son, Giovanni, also became an architect, helping to design buildings. Another son, Onorio, learned to paint from his dad. Even though he became a priest, he was asked to paint again for a church. It shows that creativity can be passed down through generations, just like sharing your favorite toys!
Baldassare's Famous Friends and Where He Rested
Baldassare worked with some of the most famous artists of his time, like Bramante and Raphael. When he died in Rome in 1536, he was buried in a very special place called the Pantheon. It’s a super old and amazing building, and he rests near his friend Raphael. It’s like being buried next to your favorite superhero!
