Aurangzeb

Aurangzeb was a very important emperor, like a king, who ruled a giant land called the Mughal Empire. He was born a long, long time ago, in 1618. His empire was so big it covered almost all of India! He was the sixth emperor, and his rule lasted for a super long time, until he was 88 years old. He was a strong leader who made his empire grow and grow.

Aurangzeb's dad was the emperor before him. When his dad got sick, there was a big disagreement about who should be the next emperor. Aurangzeb believed he was the best choice. He was a great soldier and won important battles to become the new ruler. He even had to make sure his own father, the previous emperor, stayed in a special castle so he couldn't rule anymore.

When Aurangzeb was in charge, the Mughal Empire became the biggest and richest country on Earth! It made more stuff than anywhere else. His army was also one of the strongest in the world. He built many beautiful mosques, which are places where Muslims pray. He was very religious and made sure his empire followed his beliefs.

Aurangzeb made many big decisions. He expanded his empire a lot, which means he added more land to it. He was a very serious ruler and wanted things done his way. Some people liked his strict rules, while others thought he was too hard on people who didn't share his religion. His time as emperor was very important for India's history.
