Augustine of Hippo

Augustine lived a super long time ago, way back in the year 354! He was like a wise teacher, called a bishop, in a city called Hippo. He thought a lot about big questions, like why people do good and bad things, and what it means to be a good person.

He wrote down his ideas in books that were so good, people still read them today to learn about life and faith. He was a very important person in history!

When Augustine was a kid, he wasn't always the best student! He even got into trouble sometimes. But as he grew up, he started reading and thinking really hard.

He explored different ideas and beliefs before he found Christianity. Then, he became a super dedicated follower and used his amazing brain to explain Christian ideas in new ways. It’s like he went from being a regular kid to a superhero of thinking!

'Confessions' is like a diary where he wrote about his own life and how he learned things. 'The City of God' is a big book where he talked about how to live a good life and what happens after we die.
