Armoured Warfare: Tanks and Big Machines!

The idea of armoured vehicles is actually quite old! People have always wanted to protect themselves in fights. Early versions were like horse-drawn carts with shields.

But the first real tanks, like the ones we see today, showed up over 100 years ago, around World War I. They were a brand new invention, and they looked super different from anything before. Imagine a giant metal box on wheels, rumbling across the battlefield!
