Archway, London

Archway is a neighborhood in London, England. Imagine London as a giant city, and Archway is a little bit north of the very center, like being a few streets away from the main playground. It's about as far from the middle as a long bus ride! It sits right on a big road called the A1, which is like a superhighway for cars.

Archway got its name from a very special bridge that used to be there. This bridge was super high and had one big, curved arch, like a rainbow made of stone! It was so tall that cars and people could go underneath it. Sadly, the bridge isn't there anymore, but its name stuck around to tell us about it.

Today, Archway has a busy center with a tall modern building called Vantage Point, which used to be known as Archway Tower. There's also a tube station, which is like a secret underground train that zips people around London. Lots of shops and places to eat are around here, making it a lively spot for everyone.
