Alexander IV of Macedon

Alexander IV was born a prince, but he was also a king! He was the son of the super famous Alexander the Great, who was like a rockstar general. But here's the super surprising part: Alexander IV was born AFTER his dad had already passed away! So, he became king without ever meeting his dad. It’s like inheriting a crown while still in your mom's tummy!

Alexander IV was supposed to be the ruler of a giant empire, bigger than many countries put together. But he was just a baby and then a young boy. He never got to wear the crown or make any decisions. Other grown-ups were in charge while he was growing up. It's a bit like having a toy crown but not being old enough to be the boss of the playground.

Sadly, Alexander IV's life was very, very short. He was king for only about 14 years, and he never really got to be king in charge. Even though he didn't rule for long, Alexander IV is remembered because he was the son of Alexander the Great. His name means 'defender of mankind'. He was the last of his famous family line.
