Alexander Hamilton

Imagine a super-smart kid who didn't have an easy start. That was Alexander Hamilton! He was born on an island and became an orphan when he was little. But he was so clever that people helped him go to school. He loved to write and had big ideas about making America a strong country. He even fought in the big American Revolutionary War to help America become free from England!

When America needed to fight for freedom, Hamilton jumped in! He was a brave soldier and even worked closely with General George Washington, who later became the first president. After the war, Hamilton wrote tons of important papers, like the Federalist Papers.

These papers were like super-persuasive arguments that helped convince people to agree on how America should be run. He was like a superhero of words!

Hamilton became the very first Secretary of the Treasury. That's like the boss of all the country's money! He had amazing ideas for how America could pay its debts and start its own bank. He even created a special service to protect ships carrying goods. His plans helped make America's economy strong, like building a super-sturdy house that wouldn't fall down.

Sadly, Hamilton had a big disagreement with another important person named Aaron Burr. They ended up having a pistol duel. Hamilton was badly hurt and passed away. Even though his life ended sadly, his ideas about government and money are still super important today. He helped shape the United States into the country it is!
