The Big Vote in Poland!

In Poland, people vote to choose their President, like picking the captain of a big team! In 2025, it was a really exciting race. Two main people wanted the job: Rafał Trzaskowski and Karol Nawrocki.

They both wanted to lead the country, and lots of people had different ideas about who would be best. It's like when you and your friends vote on what game to play next, but for grown-ups and a whole country!

First, everyone voted, but no one got enough votes to win right away! So, there was a second vote, like a tie-breaker. It was super close, with less than 2% difference between the two main choices!

Karol Nawrocki won the second vote, becoming the new President. He was supported by a political group called Law and Justice. Rafał Trzaskowski was also a strong contender, supported by another group called Civic Coalition.

The candidates promised different things. Karol Nawrocki wanted Poland to have strong ties with the Catholic Church and didn't want new rules about the environment from Europe. He also wanted to keep the laws about abortion the same and didn't think same-sex couples should get married.

Rafał Trzaskowski had different ideas, like making the economy a bit freer, caring more about the environment, and being more open to new laws about abortion and same-sex unions.

This election was the closest one Poland has had in a very long time! It was so close, it was like a photo finish in a race. More people voted than ever before, and it showed that many Poles had strong feelings about who should lead them. It's important for everyone to vote so their voices can be heard, just like in Poland!
