The Giant Twister of Enderlin!

On a dark night in June 2025, a HUGE tornado spun through the fields near Enderlin, North Dakota. It was so powerful, it was given the highest rating, EF5! That means it was incredibly strong, like a giant spinning top that could cause a lot of damage. It was the first EF5 tornado in a very long time, making it extra special and scary.

This tornado wasn't alone! It was part of a big storm that happened over many days in the northern plains. Sometimes, when the weather gets just right, with warm, moist air meeting cool, dry air, these giant spinning storms can form. This one was extra special because it was so strong and lasted for a while, leaving a big path of destruction.

This EF5 tornado was super strong! It was strong enough to flip over big train cars filled with grain and empty ones too. It also tore apart farmhouses and even chopped down a whole forest! Sadly, three people lost their lives because of this powerful storm. It was the deadliest tornado in North Dakota for many years.

After the tornado passed, the governor of North Dakota declared it a disaster. This meant they needed lots of help to fix things. Even though sometimes the government had problems, people from the town and other helpers worked together to clean up and rebuild. It shows how important it is for everyone to help each other when something bad happens.
