Who Gets to Be in Charge?

Sometimes, when leaders leave, a country needs to pick new ones super fast! In Moldova, the leaders who were supposed to be in charge couldn't agree on new ones. So, the President, who is like the country's captain, said, 'We need a new election!' It was like a surprise pop quiz for the country to choose its next team of leaders.

The Race to Win Seats!

Lots of teams, called parties, wanted to win. The Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) was like the star player, winning over half the votes! They got enough 'seats' in the big meeting hall to make the big decisions. Another team, the Electoral Bloc of Communists and Socialists, also got lots of votes, and the Șor Party got some too. It was a close race for some!

Counting All the Votes!

After everyone voted, the votes were counted very carefully. It's like counting all the marbles in a giant jar! The results were checked by special judges called the Constitutional Court. They made sure everything was fair and square. It took a little while, but finally, everyone agreed on who won the most seats.

Friends Watching the Vote

People from other countries, like friends watching a game, came to see if the election was fair. They said Moldova did a good job running the election, even though there were a few small things to fix for next time. It's important for countries to have fair elections so everyone's voice is heard!
