The Day the Earth Shook in Tokyo!

On September 1, 1923, a HUGE earthquake happened in Japan! It was called the Great Kantō earthquake. The ground shook so hard that buildings tumbled down like toy blocks. It was like the Earth was having a giant, shaky dance! This earthquake was super strong, one of the strongest ever felt in that area. It made a big mess, but it also showed how strong people can be when they work together.
