1271 Avenue of the Americas

This is a super-duper tall building in a busy city called New York City. It stands on a street called Sixth Avenue, right between two other streets. Think of it like a giant LEGO tower in the middle of a bustling playground. It's so tall, it's like stacking many school buses on top of each other, way, way up to the sky!

This building wasn't always called 1271 Avenue of the Americas. A long, long time ago, between 1956 and 1960, it was built as part of a bigger place called Rockefeller Center. It was even home to the people who made Time magazine! They moved out, and the building got a new name and a fresh new look.

When you walk inside, it's like stepping into a sparkly cave! The floors are curvy, like a snake slithering around. The walls are made of shiny white marble and metal, and the ceilings are a deep, reddish-burgundy color. There's even cool art on the walls by famous artists, making it a very fancy place to be.

This giant building is mostly filled with offices where people go to work. Each floor is super big, like a giant classroom! At the very top, there used to be a special restaurant where people could eat and look out at the amazing city. It was a place for grown-ups to do their jobs and sometimes have a fancy meal.
