Évora

Évora is a special city in a country called Portugal, way over in Europe! It's not right by the big, splashy ocean, but a little bit inland. Think of it like being in the middle of a big playground, not on the edge.

It's the main city for a whole big area called Alentejo. This city loves to be called the 'Very Noble and Ever Loyal City of Évora' – that's a mouthful, but it means they are super proud of their home!

Guess what? Évora is so great, it was picked to be a European Capital of Culture in 2027! That means it will be extra famous and have lots of fun events. People who live there think it's a wonderful place, and studies have even said it's one of the best cities in Portugal to live in. It's a city that's both ancient and exciting for the future!
