Meet the Big Bird!

Imagine a giant metal bird that flies through the sky, carrying people to faraway places. That was United Airlines Flight 93! It was a special airplane, a Boeing 757, that was supposed to fly from New Jersey all the way to California. It was a normal day, but then something very scary happened. Some people on the plane weren't who they seemed, and they wanted to do something very bad.

A Day That Changed Everything

On a sunny morning, Flight 93 took off. But not long after, some people on board took control of the plane. They had a terrible plan to crash it into an important building in Washington, D.C. The people on the plane were scared, but they were also very brave. They heard about what had happened to other planes that day and knew they had to do something.

Heroes in the Sky!

The passengers and crew on Flight 93 decided to fight back! They didn't want the hijackers to reach their bad goal. They bravely rushed the cockpit and struggled with the people who had taken over.

Because they fought so hard, the plane didn't reach Washington, D.C. Instead, it crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. Everyone on board was lost, but their bravery stopped the hijackers from hitting their target.

Remembering Their Courage

Flight 93 was the last plane hijacked that day, and it's famous because the people on it were so courageous. They saved many lives by stopping the hijackers. Today, there's a special place called the Flight 93 National Memorial in Pennsylvania.

It's a place to remember the heroes who were on that flight and to honor their bravery. It reminds us that even in the scariest times, people can be incredibly brave.
