Uhuru Kenyatta

The weather is usually warm, perfect for playing outside. Uhuru Kenyatta was the leader of this amazing place for a long time, like the captain of a big ship sailing through sunny days and sometimes stormy weather.

Uhuru Kenyatta comes from a very important family in Kenya. His dad, Jomo Kenyatta, was the very first president when Kenya became its own country! It’s like if your parent was the first principal of your school. Uhuru grew up knowing a lot about leading people. He learned from his dad and then decided to become a leader himself, working his way up to become president.

Being president means making important choices for everyone in the country. Uhuru Kenyatta had to decide how to help people, build new roads, and make sure everyone was safe. Sometimes, leaders have to make tough choices, and people might not always agree. Uhuru was president for two terms, which means he was chosen by the people to lead for ten years!
