Key Facts
Tokyo's Giant Twin Towers!
Way up high in a busy part of Tokyo called Shinjuku, there's a super-duper tall building! It's not just one building, but three buildings all connected. The tallest one looks like two towers that split apart as they go up. It's so tall, it's like stacking 48 school buses on top of each other! This amazing building is where the people who run Tokyo have their offices.
A View from the Clouds!
Guess what? You can go to the very top of this giant building for FREE! There are special rooms called observation decks, one in each of the tall towers. From there, you can see all of Tokyo spread out like a toy city. It's like being on top of the world! You can even grab a yummy snack or a souvenir to remember your amazing view.
Designed Like a Computer Chip!
The person who designed this building, named Kenzo Tange, was super clever. He wanted it to look like a computer chip, all neat and organized. But it also looks a bit like an old, grand church with tall windows. It's a mix of old and new ideas, making it a really unique place. It's the tallest city hall anywhere in the whole world!
Who Works Here?
This building is like the main office for the whole Tokyo area. The people who work here help make decisions about how Tokyo runs, like making sure parks are nice and roads are safe. They also have a special building for the people who make the rules, called the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly Building. It's a busy place with lots of important jobs happening!
