Tiberius

Imagine a leader from ancient Rome, a place with togas and chariots! That was Tiberius. He was an emperor, which is like a king, but even more powerful. He ruled the Roman Empire a very, very long time ago, from 14 AD to 37 AD. That's almost 2,000 years ago! He was a big part of Roman history, and his decisions affected lots of people.

Tiberius was born into a very important Roman family. His mom was Livia, and his dad was Tiberius Claudius Nero. He didn't start out as emperor, but he was a great soldier and a smart leader. He was adopted by the first Roman Emperor, Augustus, which meant he was chosen to be the next emperor. It was like being picked to be the captain of the team!

Tiberius was known for being a serious ruler. He was good at managing money and making sure the Roman Empire was safe. He spent a lot of time on the island of Capri, away from the busy city of Rome. Some stories say he was a bit grumpy, but he was still in charge of everything. He made laws and decided how the empire would be run.

Even though Tiberius lived so long ago, we still learn about him today. He was an emperor during a really important time for Rome.
