The Swineherd

Once upon a time, there was a prince who wanted to marry a princess. But this princess was very proud and thought she was the best! The prince had a super clever idea.

He decided to pretend to be a simple swineherd, someone who takes care of pigs. He wanted to see if the princess would like him for who he really was, not just because he was a prince. He even had a special little pot that played music and smelled like flowers!

The princess loved the music from the pot so much that she danced and danced. She even forgot all about her royal manners! She danced so much that she ended up dancing in the mud with the swineherd.

Oh no! The king, her father, saw this and was very angry. He said she couldn't marry a swineherd.

The prince then revealed his true royal self, and the princess was very sad because she had been so mean and rude.

In the end, the prince decided he didn't want to marry the princess anymore because she had been so unkind and only cared about his fancy pot.
