The Emperor's New Clothes

Once upon a time, there was an emperor who cared more about his clothes than anything else. He had a new outfit for every hour of the day! His favorite thing was to show off his amazing clothes to everyone in his kingdom. He was so busy thinking about fashion that he didn't pay much attention to his job as a ruler.

Two sneaky tailors came to town and told the emperor they could make the most beautiful clothes ever. But here's the secret: their special fabric was invisible to anyone who was silly or couldn't do their job well! The emperor, who really wanted to seem smart, pretended he could see the amazing clothes, even though he couldn't see anything at all.

The emperor ordered a brand new outfit for a big parade. The tailors pretended to sew and stitch, but they were really just putting the invisible clothes on him.
