To be super-sharers, we need to think about three important things: our planet, our people, and our progress. We need to protect nature, make sure everyone has what they need to live well, and find smart ways to build things and create jobs. It's like balancing a yummy cake with three perfect slices: one for nature, one for people, and one for growing in a good way.

This idea is super important because it helps stop big problems like too much trash, dirty air, and animals losing their homes. When we develop in a sustainable way, we help everyone have clean water to drink and healthy food to eat. It’s like giving the Earth a big hug and making sure it stays strong and beautiful for all the amazing adventures kids will have on it!

This idea wasn't always called 'sustainable development.' A long time ago, smart people started talking about how we need to be careful with our planet. In 1987, a special report helped make this idea famous. Later, world leaders made a big plan called the Sustainable Development Goals to help everyone work together to make the world a better place by the year 2030!
