Suburbanization

Have you ever seen a city and then lots of houses and parks spread out around it? That's called suburbanization! It's when people move from the busy middle of a city to quieter places nearby, called suburbs. Think of it like leaving the super crowded playground for a bigger one with more space to run. These new neighborhoods can spread out like a giant, colorful blanket covering the land.

Long ago, cities were much smaller. But as more people came, they needed more space! So, they started building houses and shops just outside the city. First, maybe just a few houses, then more and more. It's like when your favorite toy gets so popular, you need a bigger toy box! This spreading out is how suburbs grow, making the whole area around the city much bigger.

People move to suburbs for lots of reasons. Sometimes, it's because they want more space for their families, like a bigger backyard to play in. Other times, it's to find quieter streets away from the noisy city. It's like choosing to live in a cozy treehouse instead of a busy beehive! This movement makes the suburbs grow and change over time.
