The THN Train of Thailand

Procured from Daewoo Heavy Industries, the THN class reflects the mid-to-late 20th-century modernization efforts of the Thai rail system, transitioning toward more flexible, self-contained rolling stock.

These railcars are utilized across various SRT routes, often serving as the primary mode of transport for inter-provincial travel in areas where high-speed or electric rail is not yet implemented.

The THN class consists of self-propelled diesel railcars operated by the State Railway of Thailand. These units are integral to the national rail strategy for passenger mobility.

The THN class is essential for maintaining connectivity across Thailand's non-electrified rail corridors, serving as a cost-effective solution for regional transit demand.
