Spaniards

Spaniards are people who come from a beautiful country called Spain, located in Europe. Imagine a big puzzle with many different pieces – Spain is like that! Spaniards are known for their rich history and many different languages.

The most common language is called Spanish, but some people also speak other languages like Catalan or Basque. It's like having different favorite colors in a crayon box!

People have lived in Spain for thousands of years! Ancient Romans came and taught everyone their language, which is why many Spanish languages sound a bit like Latin. Later, different groups of people, like the Visigoths and then the Moors from North Africa, also lived in Spain. Each group added their own special traditions, making Spain a super interesting place with a mix of cultures.

For a long time, Spain was made up of different kingdoms. Then, they joined together to become one country. Spain also explored the world and had a huge empire, meaning they had lands far away! This is why Spanish is spoken in so many places, like in Mexico and South America. It's like sharing your favorite toy with friends all over the world!
