He wanted to create a place where everyone could watch fun shows, exciting news, and even cartoons! SBT is one of the biggest TV networks in Brazil, reaching almost everyone with its signals.

Once upon a time, the Brazilian government decided to create two new TV networks. Silvio Santos was super excited and got the chance to build one of them, which became SBT! He had already been running a smaller TV station, which was like a practice run. The very first show ever on SBT was actually the moment the network officially began, and it was broadcast live! It was a huge party for TV!

SBT is famous for having all sorts of programs. They show exciting dramas from other countries, especially from Mexico, which are called telenovelas. But guess what?

SBT is the ONLY TV network in Brazil that shows cartoons for kids every single day! They even team up with Disney to bring you amazing animated adventures. Plus, they have news shows to keep everyone informed about what's happening in Brazil and the world.

SBT has a super-duper-sized TV studio complex in a city called Osasco. It's so big, it's like having a whole neighborhood just for making TV shows! This place is one of the three largest TV studios in all of South America. It's so massive that it's bigger than many football stadiums put together. Imagine all the cameras, lights, and sets inside that giant building!
