Sean Payton: Football's Super Coach!

Sean Payton was born way back on December 29, 1963. He grew up dreaming of football! Before becoming a famous coach, he was a player himself. He even played quarterback, throwing the ball for teams like the Chicago Bears and in Britain! Imagine playing football in a different country! He learned a lot as a player, which helped him become an amazing coach later on.

Sean Payton became the head coach for the New Orleans Saints in 2006. At first, the team wasn't doing so well. But Coach Payton had a plan! He helped them win so many games that they even made it to the Super Bowl, which is like the biggest championship game ever! They won the Super Bowl in 2009, bringing a huge trophy home to New Orleans. It was the first time the Saints had ever won it!

Coach Payton is super good at making his teams score lots of points. In his first 100 games as a coach, his teams scored more points than almost any other team in NFL history! That's like getting more points than everyone else in a whole year of school! He also helped his teams gain a lot of yards, which means they moved the ball down the field really far. After his time with the Saints, Sean Payton became the head coach for the Denver Broncos. He's still coaching today, helping his new team play their best.
