Santos is a super cool city in Brazil, a big country in South America! Most of it sits on an island called São Vicente, which is like a big piece of land surrounded by water. It's also partly on the mainland, which is the bigger part of Brazil. The weather there is usually warm and sunny, perfect for playing outside. It's a place where you can see lots of blue ocean and green trees.

A long, long time ago, in 1546, a brave explorer named Brás Cubas decided to start a new town here. He was from Portugal, a country far across the ocean. He chose this spot because it was a great place to land ships and start a new life. Over many years, more and more people came to live here, and the town grew into the big city it is today!

Santos is famous for two amazing things: coffee and football! There's a special museum where people used to decide how much coffee would cost all around the world. And guess what?
This city is home to one of the most famous football clubs ever! They even had a player named Pelé, who was like a superhero on the field. They also have a super-duper long garden along the beach that's in the Guinness World Records!

Did you know that Santos has a beach garden that's longer than 50 football fields put together? That's HUGE! It's so long it's in a special book of world records. The city is also a busy place because it has a very important port where ships bring and take away lots of goods. People in Santos speak Portuguese, which sounds a bit like Spanish but is its own special language.
