Salzburg

Salzburg is a super cool city in Austria, a country in Europe. It sits right next to a big river called the Salzach River. Think of it like a giant playground slide for water!

It's also very close to Germany, like being neighbors with another town. And guess what? Big, tall mountains called the Alps are right there, looking like giant sleepy giants guarding the city.

The air is fresh and the views are amazing!

This city has a really, really old castle called Hohensalzburg Fortress. It's one of the biggest old castles in all of Europe! It was built a super long time ago, way back in the 11th century.

That means it's older than your great-great-great-grandparents! Imagine all the knights and kings who might have walked its halls. It’s so big, it would take a long time to explore every single room and tower.

Did you know Salzburg is the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart? He was a musical genius who wrote amazing music when he was just a little kid, like you! His music is still played all over the world today. Salzburg loves music so much that it has lots of concerts and festivals. It’s like the whole city is a giant music party sometimes, celebrating Mozart and other wonderful sounds.

The old part of Salzburg, called the Altstadt, is like stepping into a fairy tale. It's famous for its beautiful buildings with fancy decorations, called Baroque architecture. These buildings are so special that people from all over the world come to see them.

It’s like a giant art gallery made of stone and plaster. The city is also a very popular place for tourists to visit and explore its history and beauty.
