What's Happening in Ukraine?

In 2022, a big disagreement between Russia and Ukraine turned into a serious fight. It's the largest war in Europe since a very long time ago, called World War II. This fight has caused many people to get hurt and has made millions of people leave their homes to find safety. It's like a huge playground argument that got way out of hand, affecting many families and friends.

Why Did This Start?

Before the big fight, Russia put lots of soldiers near Ukraine's borders. Russia also had some demands, like not wanting Ukraine to join a special club for countries called NATO. Then, Russia's leader announced a 'special military operation.' He said it was to help some areas in Ukraine that were already having trouble. But many people around the world didn't agree with this reason.

Big Changes and Sad News

When the fighting started, Russian soldiers tried to go into Ukraine from different directions. But Ukraine's soldiers fought back very bravely! Eventually, Russian soldiers left the areas near the capital city. Sadly, after they left, people found out about terrible things that had happened. The fighting also caused a lot of damage to cities and homes.

The World Watches and Helps

Many countries were very upset about the fighting and wanted it to stop. They sent help to Ukraine, like food, medicine, and even things to help their army. Some countries even called Russia a 'terrorist state.' People all over the world protested to show they wanted peace. This war has made it harder for some countries to get food, which is a big problem for everyone.
